Levels and Requirements for Ex 2

INHAND & LIBERTY may choose any 4 obstacles or levels!

INTRO & PREP

• Pickup Garrocha (At Intro, Pickup of the pole is optional, we do expect that you will attempt to ride one handed even if not carrying the pole)

• Stock Pen (Intro perform at walk, optional to carry pole. Prep walk or trot)

• Deposit Garrocha

• Rope Gate Forward (Introductory do not pass through the gate)

PRELIMINARY

• Pickup Garrocha (Prelim level will stay in trot between the Pickup & Stock Pen & Deposit as per WENZ rules)

• Stock Pen carrying the Garrocha (may be ridden at walk or trot)

• Deposit Garrocha

• Rope Gate

NOVICE ~ ELEMENTARY ~ MEDIUM

• Pickup Garrocha

• Stock Pen (carrying Garrocha, walk or canter)

• Jump (carrying Garrocha)

• Deposit Garrocha

• Rope Gate (Reverse)

OBSTACLE SETUP AND FILMING GUIDELINES

• All obstacles must be placed within a 20m x 40m area.

• Participants may choose where and how to position obstacles, as long as they are visible to the camera.

• Pickup and Deposit of Garrocha will use the same Drum

• Stock Pen will be 8 metres in diameter and best placed in a corner. Performed both directions for all levels.

• The required gait for each level should be demonstrated between obstacles in a continuous video. Preliminary riders note that there is no canter carrying the Garrocha at this level.

• Camera is to be set at a half marker for filming the exercise (either at B or E).

• Once you are set up you can practise as many times as you like before filming but remember it is also important to complete the round, so try to continue even if you think you have made a mistake.

PURPOSE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• These exercises are designed for training your horse, as well as for you to learn how to film, upload your video and prepare for our show competition entry.

• Judges and advisors for the September exercises are Belinda Rodriguez and Vic Nelson, both qualified WENZ judges, coaches, and trainers.

• There are no charges until your video is submitted.

• Your entries will be judged as they are submitted. The earlier they are received the sooner you can work on the suggestions for improvement.

• Our Exercises are run under WENZ rules V 1.2
