The rulebook affects every participant in our competitions, and with changes to the rulebook currently underway in New Zealand, we want to hear your voices.
We’re holding an open discussion this Sunday August 15th at 8:00am NZ time for anyone interested in the topic.
We’ll discuss the new WENZ rulebook and its potential impact on:
- training and preparation
- judging
- progression through the levels
- how Virtual Working Equitation should move forward
Everyone with an interest is welcome.
In particular, we want this to be an opportunity for the people who are riders, organisers, judges, and others involved in using the rules in practice to have a say. We’re aiming for a constructive discussion of different viewpoints, rather than hearing primarily from those involved in making the rulebook decisions.
The discussion will help us consider whether Virtual Working Equitation should adopt the new rules in future, and whether a transition period using the current requirements would be beneficial while participants and judges become familiar with the changes.
Sunday, 8:00am NZ time on Jitsi Meet (no download required). Please email us for the meeting link.
Everyone interested in the future of Working Equitation is welcome. Please come along, share your experience, and help shape the discussion.
